Meet the Maker

Hi, Iโ€™m Tori โ€” the artist behindย Natureโ€™s HandyWork.

I create high-quality resin and fine silver jewelry using real wildflowers gathered from the bluffs and trails along the Fox River in Northern Illinois. Each piece is a quiet tribute to the natural world โ€” a way to press pause on fleeting beauty and wear a little piece of the wild.

Nature has always been where I feel most grounded. I find inspiration in tangled meadows, delicate blooms, and the quiet resilience of the forest floor. My work blends storytelling with craftsmanship, preserving real flowers like Queen Anneโ€™s Lace, daisies, and moss in resin, or shaping fine silver into tiny leaves and fossils โ€” each one made by hand and with heart.

I started this journey with a deep love for creating and a desire to help others carry something meaningful. Whether it's a memorial, a birthday keepsake, or a just-because treasure, I believe jewelry should feel personal โ€” like a whisper from nature, meant just for you.

Thank you for being here and supporting my small business. I hope my work brings a little wild beauty into your world.

Wear the Wild

Step #1

Wandering

Each piece begins outdoors, long before the workbench. I wander along the Fox River or through my garden, moving slowly, noticing the light, the breeze, and the small wild details that often go unseen.

I gather only what the land can spare, choosing each bloom with care and gratitude. In this quiet act of foraging, Iโ€™m not just collecting flowers โ€” Iโ€™m gathering place, memory, and the living beauty that will shape every piece.

Step #2

Preserving & Drying

Back in the studio, the flowers are carefully pressed and dried, their delicate forms transformed from fresh and fleeting to still and lasting. This slow, patient process allows their color, shape, and character to be held in time โ€” preserving a moment of the natural world so it can live on in your jewelry.

Step #3

Forging

At the workbench, raw metal is shaped by hand into a setting that will cradle the flower. Through careful cutting, soldering, and polishing, each piece is formed with intention โ€” sturdy enough to protect, refined enough to honor the beauty it will hold.

Step #4

Pouring the Resin

The preserved bloom is gently placed into its setting, then encased in clear resin that seals and protects it. Layer by layer, the resin cures into a glass-like finish โ€” allowing the flower to appear suspended in time, luminous, and enduring.

Step #5

Sharing the Story

The journey is complete: the flower, the setting, the resin โ€” now captured in photos and shared so it can be worn, treasured, and loved.
