In Norse mythology, they were sacred to Freya, the goddess of love and beauty, and were often associated with childbirth and motherhood. In Victorian times, daisies were used to send secret messages of loyal love and gentle affection. Even today, a bouquet of daisies feels like a soft whisper of comfort, joy, and nostalgia.
Wild and Free
Daisies grow where they please—along country roadsides, in fields, between sidewalk cracks. They remind us that beauty doesn’t have to be cultivated or controlled. It can thrive in the wild. When I preserve daisies in resin, I’m trying to capture that spirit: a tiny piece of summer sunlight, a bloom untouched by trends, grounded in the earth’s own artistry.
